A 30-foot high, 10-foot wide spire of stone riddled with holes ranging from 2 1/2 feet to 5 feet in diameter. This is the entrance to the lair of Roll 2d10 Young KruthiksRoll 1d3+2 Adult Kruthiks, and 1 Kruthik Hive Lord. Two adults are burrowed in the sand near the spire and jump out to attack any creatures who come within 10 feet. If combat starts, all adults inside the lair join the fight on the second round of combat. The young kruthiks only come out of the lair if it is destroyed, but they will attack intruders who enter the lair.
The lair itself is a 40-foot diameter cavern located 20 feet below the surface, primarily accessible through the tunnels in the spire of stone above. The floor of the lair is littered with the skeletal remains of beasts and humanoids eaten by the kruthik hive. The characters can find the following items scattered among the remains:
