Memories Extracted from the Skulls of Stone Cursed (d32)

Stone Cursed: animated stone statue of a person who was previously petrified and who had a ritual used on them to reawaken a tiny part of their spirit to make them an animate guardian. When you take out the skull, you may be able to coax out some of their past memories and bits of lore from them.

A general sense of unease and confusion with no clear memory. The victim did not see the cause of their petrification, and cannot understand what has happened. Memories are scattered bits of what the person experienced on their last day fully animate.

The individual doing basic housework and whistling cheerfully as they wait for a family member to return home, the passage of a great amount of time, and the discovery that something has happened to the person/people they are waiting on (mugged, assaulted, murdered, sprained ankle, cart wheel broke, animal attack, caught a sickness, got into a fight with an adventurer).

The individual is hunting in Resolve: {mountainous terrain|forest|plains|seaside crags|scarce grasslands|or a lakeside} with a bow and arrows, gathering herbs and fruits, tracing game, and tracking small creatures.

Their encounter with a merchant on the road. The merchant is taking his wares to nobility, but allows the now petrified victim to look over them with appreciation. The merchant is selling something in such a large assortment that the trapped individual had never seen so many, such as {{items}}.

An encounter with someone with a curse (for example, watching someone being burned as they wield a magical sword in a duel, someone being thrown out of a store due to a wasting disease caused by their magical ring, a proud but feeble woman begging for someone to break her necklace's curse that only allows her to gain nutrition from blood, a soldier unable to let go of a handkerchief of his wife which she cursed when she thought he had an affair...) and the gossip heard about the plight of the person a few weeks later.

Fragments of a recurring nightmare that has haunted them since childhood, or a memory of them developing a phobia (spiders, heights, talking to people, leaving home, being abandoned).

The reason for why the individual was at the location they are still. Possibly: Resolve: {adventuring and finding somewhere to sleep|being hunted and running away|elected by someone to protect something and be petrified|hunting rare monster parts or training|looking for a lost friend of family member|this location is a place they normally live or wander}.

The last book that the victim read, be it a cookbook, a fantasy story, an atlas, an encyclopedia, or notes that someone else wrote. (May have relevant information to anything that might be encountered in the area as a result of something recently happening).
