A rag well with a tree with strips of cloth hanging on it. The well here is said to help
cure pains and ailments. Villagers would come here with cloth or linen, soak it in the
well water and place it on the affected body part. They would then hang the cloth on
a nearby tree, which is adorned with the cloth from the villagers.

A beaver dam or the remains of one. Some metal glitters amongst the twigs used to
construct the dam

A cairn dedicated to an animal. Roll a 1d6 for the animal. 1: A mammoth 2: a dog 3: a
wyvern 4: an eagle 5: a seal 6: a cat

A temple built of driftwood. Within it, you can hear the sounds of the sea and even
the call of gulls.

The remains of a longship. This might be found even inland

A bubbling spring. If there are settlements nearby it might be used by locals

A dolmen is overgrown with moss. It might hold secrets about your quest or vow

here to make tokens and tie them around the branches hoping to unite with their
lover.

 A spot of earth on which nothing grows. If the location is desolate or barren, this spot
is instead fertile

A tiered pyramid of 1d6 tiers. The symbols on it depict a battle between bears and
wolves. At the top of the pyramid is the statue of the victor.

A set of 1d6 giant boulders with markings in a forgotten language.

 A grove of trees with branches that twist in unexpected directions. Villagers call these
the dancing trees

 A crater lake. The water here glows with different colours. There is a terrible sour
scent in the area and the plants growing here appear to glow

Graveyard of spears. A shallow pit has been dug here and old spears have been
tossed within. The spears are rotted but some of the spearheads are still usable.

Graveyard of mammoths. There is a pile of mammoth bones here, and carrion birds
feed on the carcass of a recently deceased specimen.

The seat of the Moot. A circular arrangement of stones that are just the right height to
sit on, with a larger stone in the middle carved with the features of a god of justice or
a symbol of it. This is used by nearby settlements to meet and discuss territorial
issues. No weapons are to be brought in the circle of stones.

The stall of a shop vendor, now abandoned. There remains an item left behind by the
vendor. Roll 1d6: 1: a whittled piece of wood in the shape of an otter 2: an acorn 3: a
rock with coppery veins 4: a sea shell 5: a wooden bowl 6: rotting meat

A dining tent. The smell of cooked food wafts from here but it is curiously unmanned.
There is no food within.

A quarry of red stone. Villagers use the stone for their houses. Offerings are left
whenever they take any stone from here.

Eternal flame. A hill with mysterious flames sprouting from the ground that do not
extinguish. The flames are easily avoided.

Watch tower. A lone tower that is still intact. Climbing to the top presents a view of
the area. Read 43a if you do ascend.

A geyser that screeches when water spouts from it. The water is scalding hot.

An iron pillar that is rusted and broken. There is no salvageable metal left on this
pillar.

A well-carved statue of a child that is unblemished. Someone has placed linen
clothes on it.

A Battle Circle is etched in the ground here. There are runes indicating that if one
fights within the ring, one of the combatants must die. If you hang around long
enough, someone will come here to challenge you to a battle. Read 47a if so

The remains of a giant bear. The rib bones have been broken off. It is unlikely that a
single bear cub is roaming the area.

A kiln made of stone. Some clay pots are still inside. There is an even chance of one
of them giving you information about the area and giving you the equivalent of a
secure an advantage roll.

A cabin in the woods. This looks like it was recently occupied. If you can read and
spend time studying the materials here, read 84a.

A mound where there are several pots of fermenting food, including fish. The smell is
pungent and off-putting. Whoever left them here is not present, though if you remain
here it is likely you will encounter them

A butte of rock. There are runes indicating this is the All-hearing stone. Climbing on
top requires a strong hit on a Strength test. If you do so, read 86a.

A cliff which sticks out; markings indicate it is named the troll’s tongue. Anyone who
remains here under a full moon is said to be swallowed by the tongue.

A clearing with the shattered remains of weapons. If you stay here for the night, read

A pillar of rock. At its base is a human skeleton that looks as though it has been
pinned by the rock.

A burial mound. The statues of two soldiers have been placed outside the entrance.

 A pool or lake of smoking lava. The air is sulphurous. You see figures from your past

for a period of time will allow you to pick up the Herbalist Asset or pick an additional

An abandoned reservoir that seems to have dried up. You see huge footprints left by

A cliffside where birds (terns/finches or hawks) have made their nests and laid their
eggs. Climbing the cliff and harvesting the eggs is a Dangerous task, allowing you to
resupply.

A gigantic nest with two large pink-speckled eggs within. The eggs are the size of
chests and difficult to carry around.

An abandoned fort with the remnants of a wrecked palisade. Most of it lies in ruins.

A tree with gold branches and leaves. The branches are quite fragile and break
easily. The silver turns to rust when removed from the tree

A gigantic horn stands here, propped up by a wooden scaffold. It looks ready to
