Riot! The citizens of the local settlement are revolting for some reason or other and you are asked to help suppress. If you decline, lose 5 Reputation, if you accept, have the month’s expenses covered (or added to your final pay if already covered by Support terms) but drop down 1 Morale Rating (SO p39) because of civilian casualties.

Daylight Robbery: The local businesses decide to take advantage of the off-worlders. Expenses are doubled this month and the additional costs aren’t covered by the Support terms of your contract.

HPG Outage: A technical fault (or something more sinister) has cut the planet off from the wider world. You are unable to do things that require off-world communication (order specific units, communicate with hiring halls etc) for Roll on "1d6"  week(s).

Supply Chain Issues: Due to strikes/shortages/whatever, any ordered equipment takes an additional month to arrive and availability is made one step more difficult.

Disaster: Some catastrophe (natural or man-made) has occurred in a nearby region. Pick one lance/star and consider them out of action for the month as they are drafted to help with the relief efforts.

Politics: Governance has changed at a local, regional, or even planetary level.  Roll on "Politics" This effect remains in place until you leave the posting (or this result is rolled again).

Parade: The powers that be want to put on a show of military might and you’re invited. Reduce TN to gain new recruits by 1 for the rest of the month.

Local Holiday: Some kind of festival is going on in the local settlement, and everybody’s invited! No work (deliveries, repairs, construction, etc.) progress for 7 days, but your Morale Rating is increased 1 step (SO p39).

Surplus Sale: The local manufacturers need to offload spare equipment. Any military purchase made this month is done so at 20% discount.

Infestation: A local settlement has been overrun by dangerous fauna (30-50 of them at least) and requests help. Nominate 1 lance/star for extermination duty and give them 1xp.

Mass Unemployment: Jobs are short due to recession, mass immigration, or any other reason, but warm bodies are plentiful. You can recruit any number of Conventional Infantry Platoons for half price and no roll or shipping time this month but they are all of Green experience rating.
