8

Roll 1d3+1 Gray Oozes

9

A rickety rope bridge spanning a 30-foot wide chasm. The chasm is only 20 feet deep, but dense, sulfurous mist at the bottom prevents the characters from discerning its true depth by sight alone. The bridge can support up to 300 pounds of weight at a time, meaning the characters will likely have to cross individually to prevent the bridge from collapsing. Any creatures standing on the bridge if it collapses must succeed on DC 13 Strength or Dexterity Saving Throws (the affected creature's choice) or fall 20 feet into the pit below, taking the appropriate damage and landing Prone. Any creature who starts their turn in the sulfurous mist must make a DC 15 Constitution Saving Throw, taking 7 (2d6) Poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a success. A creature can hold their breath to automatically succeed on the saving throw. The gas is also combustible; if the gas is ignited, any creatures in the ravine or on the bridge must make a DC 17 Dexterity Saving Throw, taking 28 (8d6) Fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a success. Igniting the gas instantly removes it from the ravine, but also destroys the bridge.
