A patch of mud turns out to be quicksand. A perception check of 15 and up detects it, but stepping in it results in the party member beginning to sink.

Jungle fever is a killer. The party must make constitution saving throws of 14 or higher to resist. Failure means a point of exhaustion.

Roll 2d4 giant frogs wait in a deep puddle nearby, and attempt to eat any party members who leave the group or approach the puddle.

There's a hut in the jungle. It belongs to an old and somewhat friendly half-orc herbalist.
