In Shadowrun, the smuggler does not buy the cargo, hence values are not included. The buyer is contracting the smuggler to get this cargo to a location, likely across a border. Use the Border Crossing Generator to find the cost of crossing a border. The buyer has already paid the seller, or has paid a third party to hold the money in escrow until delivery is verified. Thus if the cargo is lost it is the buyer that comes after the shadowrunner. The is the default for a smuggling run unless noted below.
