Extended Mixing Potions (d100)

An extended version of the Potion Miscibility chart.

d100 Results

1

Explosion! The mixture creates a magical explosion, dealing Roll 6d10 force damage to the mixer and Roll 1d10 force damage to each creature within 5 feet of the mixer.

2-3

Lethal Poison Results. The mixture becomes a lethal poison. The drinker must succeed on a DC Roll on "Difficulty Class" Constitution saving throw or else take Roll 2d6 points of Constitution damage. If mixed externally, then a cloud of poison gas spreads in a 10 foot radius when the container is opened. All within must make the Constitution saving throw or else take the above damage. Creatures immune to the poisoned condition and poison damage are immune to this effect.

4-7

Mild Poison Results. The drinker must succeed on a DC Roll on "Difficulty Class" Constitution saving throw or else take Roll 6d6 poison damage and become poisoned. The poisoned condition lasts until the drinker finishes a long rest. If mixed externally, then a cloud of poison gas spreads in a 10 foot radius. All within are subjected to the same saving throw, with the same results if they fail.

8-11

Cursed Mixture Result. Neither potion works. Instead, they mix into a potion that inhibits the drinker, reducing their Roll on "Ability Scores" score to 1 for Roll on "Duration".

12-16

Hostile Monster Summoned. The vile mixture causes the drinker to vomit it up in a cloud. The cloud turns into a Resolve: {Roll on "Summon Aberrations"|Roll on "Summon Beast"|Roll on "Summon Celestial"|Roll on "Summon Construct"|Roll on "Summon Dragon"|Roll on "Summon Elemental"|Roll on "Summon Fey"|Roll on "Summon Fiend"|Roll on "Summon Giant"|Roll on "Summon Humanoid"|Roll on "Summon Monstrosity"|Roll on "Summon Ooze"|Roll on "Summon Plant"|Roll on "Summon Undead"}. This monster attacks the drinker and her allies in preference to any other targets. If mixed externally, the liquid turns into a gas and the monster appears out of the gas cloud. The monster remains for Roll on "Duration".

17-26

Potions Cannot Be Mixed. Both potions are totally destroyed and their effects end immediately.

27-36

Potions Cannot Be Mixed. The second potion drunk fails to function, but the first remains functional. If mixed externally, both potions are destroyed.

37-42

Potions Cannot Be Mixed. The Resolve: {first|second} potion has the opposite effect, while the other does not function. If there is no obvious opposite effect, then the drinker is affected by a Confusion spell, with a duration of Roll on "Duration".

43-47

Potions Cannot Be Mixed. The first potion drunk ceases functioning immediately, but the second works normally. If mixed externally, the potions are destroyed.

48-52

Potions Cannot Be Mixed. Both potions function, but at half strength and half their normal duration (if the duration is longer than instantaneous). Half-strength potions have all aspects of their function halved. If the potion has no effect which can be halved, then it simply has no effect.

53-62

Potions Can Be Mixed. They work normally, unless their effects would cancel each other out.

63-72

Potions Cannot Be Mixed. The Resolve: {first|second} potion has the opposite effect, and all of its numerical values (other than duration) are increased by 150%. The other potion has its normal function. Both last for half their normal duration. If the potion has no effect which can be halved, then it simply has no effect.

73-82

Potions Cannot Be Mixed. The drinker turns bright Roll on "Colors", then bright Roll on "Colors", then bright Roll on "Colors". This change occurs every 30 seconds and lasts for Roll on "Duration".

83-87

Friendly Monster Summoned. This monster acts as if summoned by the drinker and attacks the drinker's enemies. If mixed externally, the liquid turns into a gas and the monster appears out of the gas cloud. The monster remains for Roll on "Duration".

88-92

Potions Mix, But Not As Expected. Neither potion works, but the mixture acts as a Roll on "Random Potions".

93-95

Compatible Result. The first potion has its effects and duration extended 150% of normal. The second potion fails to work.

96-98

Compatible Result. The second potion has its effects and duration extended 150% of normal. The first potion fails to work.

99

Compatible Result. Both potions have their effects and duration extended 150% of normal.

100

Discovery! The mixing of the potions creatures a special effect: the Resolve: {first|second} potion fails to work, but the other potion has its effects made permanent on the drinker. If mixed externally, then the permanent effect is not discovered until the mix is consumed. The potion's effect becomes a natural part of the drinker's anatomy, and therefore is a permanent change, unaffected by Dispel Magic or similar effects.
