Fantasy Diseases (d30)
The life of the average PC is far removed from the life of the player and it is too easy to forget that adventuring is dirty and often disgusting work. Players seldom put a second
thought into having their characters delve into forgotten dungeons, wade into sewers, or even sift through pile of dead bodies in the search for loot. Exposure to sickness and
disease is just part of the job of the adventuring hero....Using these tables: Once the GM has determined that the PCs have contracted a disease, roll 1d30 to determine which disease has taken hold. Communicability, severity, duration, and
all in-game effects will be up to the GM. Major and minor effects have been listed to assist the GM with some „color commentary‰ as the disease unfolds. Many diseases have similar symp-
toms and some GMÊs may require that and appropriate diagnosis is made before an effective cure can be realized. Major effects can be present in addition to or instead of minor effects.
